Meet Jeana! Beautiful mom of 3 and owner of Jea Jea Sport.

DarienMoms: Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in Darien?
Jeana: I moved to Darien when I was 5 years old from Larchmont, NY. I grew up in Darien, attended Darien High school, lived in NYC for a few years after graduating from Fordham University in NYC and spent 2 years in Larchmont, NY with my husband and 2 babies under 2 years old. We then realized that we wanted to join family once again in Darien. My mother still lives in the same house we grew up in after 33 years. I also have 2 sisters in Darien, 1 in New Canaan, 1 in Greenwich and a brother in London, England and 21 nieces and nephews.

DarienMoms: How many children do you have and what are their ages?
Jeana: 3 kids. 11, 9 and 7.

DarienMoms: What are your local go-to stores for children’s clothing, shoes and furniture?
Jeana: My boys live in sports clothing and sneakers, so any gear from the Darien Sport Shop and sneakers from New Balance in New Canaan. My daughter is a definite Jea Jea girl. She wears it all the time. Tanks and long sleeves to school and polo shirts for golf and tennis. I have to say, I’m right there with her. We live in the brand.

DarienMoms: What are your favorite events in Darien?
Jeana: Sporting events of any kind. We love how passionate Darien is in supporting their children. It’s the reason I moved back home and the reason we will hopefully never leave.

DarienMoms: What are your favorite restaurants in Darien & Rowayton?
Jeana: Scena because it’s cozy, love going with my husband and just sitting at the bar tables for dinner. 1020 Post is great and Brendan’s 101 is our go to with the kids for ice cream and a quick bite.

DarienMoms: What is your favorite kid-friendly recipe?
Jeana: This may sound strange, but our kids have always eaten what we eat. My favorite and easiest meal to make is breakfast. They have fruit shakes with Greek yogurt, berries, honey and kale. Am I the worst? They actually like them.

DarienMoms: What are your favorite hobbies?
Jeana: Running, painting, coming up with new designs and ideas for my company, Jea Jea Sport. It’s like Christmas morning when I see the final products come in. Just so happy that I’ve created something that fulfills my desire to be creative, expresses my personality, and is USEFUL! Who doesn’t workout and want something that’s fun, colorful and unlike anything they’ve seen before and has a preppy, boho chic, California vibe? So many stresses in life, my motto is to keep what I can LIGHT and FUN!!!

DarienMoms: Please tell us more about your business and your involvement in our community!
Jeana: Jea Jea Sport is my business. www.jeajeasport.com. My husband and I are also pretty involved in the youth sports as volunteer coaches. It’s a really nice way to spend time with the kids and teach them so many life lessons without explanation. Seeing children work together as a team is one of those priceless things in life that you just can’t replace. It’s also a really nice reminder of when we were playing, we know what they’re thinking and it’s just plain cool.
